Improved Filtration
Due to an increase focus on energy consumption,
the building codes are requiring homes be built
tighter.  While this may save you money on your
energy bill, it will, unfortunately, cause another
problem.  Tightly built homes allow very little fresh
air in and don't let the stale air out.

Without fresh air
,  your home will not only feel stuffy
and uncomfortable
, but it could also be unhealthy.
Without fresh air, odors linger, bacteria thrive,
mildew flourish, pollen builds up and radon gas
concentrates.
In short, your home becomes a
source of air pollution instead of a refuge from it.

If you are one of the many Floridians who suffer from
allergies, this can become a serious issue.  Poor
indoor air quality can cause the allergy  or asthma
sufferer sickness and  major discomfort as well as
costing them money for medical symptom relievers.
Improving the air filtration in your home can prevent
the symptoms from even happening, letting you
breathe easier and feel better.  Call us to find out
which air filtration solution best suits your needs.

Dehumidistat
Are you a snowbird...or do you travel several months of
the year?  If so, we recommend having a dehumidistat
installed.  A dehumidistat works in conjunction with your
thermostat to help control the humidity in your home.
When you are away from the home for an extended
period of time, you should leave your a/c system on to
prevent mildew growth.  The dehumidistat will turn on
the unit whenever the humidity level gets too high so you
can set the thermostat at a higher setting.  This means
that the unit will be running less, which will save you
money on your electric bill, while controlling the humidity
in the home.
Ultraviolet Light
Another way of achieving better indoor air quality is by
installing an ultraviolet (UV) light in your system.  The
ultraviolet light helps combat airborne irritants and
pollutants by destroying them by penetrating down to
their DNA.  The UV light is installed inside your system
near the indoor coil and helps keep your coil clean.
Additionally, when you combine installing a UV light
with improved filtration, you can enjoy substantial
improvements in the quality of your indoor air.
High Efficiency Systems
Beginning in 2006, the minimum SEER (Seasonal
Energy Efficiency Ratio) rating of an air conditioning or
heat pump unit that can be manufactured is 13 SEER.
The higher the SEER rating, the more efficient the
system and, therefore, the lower your electric bill.
Royal A/C offers you the option of installing
high-efficiency equipment, to lower the energy
consumption as well as to improve the performance of
your system.  If you need to replace your existing
system or if you are building a new home, ask us about
the many options available to you.
